      I have now added my speed figure selections from last year to my data, now giving me a sample of 4,196 races. 

      Overall these selections (using the horse with lowest forecast odds where there is more than one selection in a race) have generated a small level stake loss (mostly due to a poor run with my AW selections) of £98 to £20 level stakes.

      I am confident therefore that I am not picking an especially favourable sample of results

      The results continue to be encouraging

      Betting doubles results in 159 winning doubles with a profit of £12,842. The highest stake was £745 and the highest profit was £6,495. The highest cumulative loss was £5,884.

      Betting trebles results in 25 winning trebles with a profit of £6,771. The highest stake was £2,632 and the highest profit was £15,234. The highest cumulative loss was £20,309.

      4 timers results in 6 wins with a profit of £46,164. The highest stake was £9,298 and the highest profit was £48,024. The highest cumulative loss £20,680.

       

      There was a 6 timer which generated a profit of £192k but this would have required a final stake of £192k to generate a profit of £245k. Notwithstanding the impossibility of placing the bet even my patience wwould be tested by waiting more than 10 years for the bet to come in.

      Even the practicality of placing the 4 timer is questionable so at this stage it looks like doubles is the way forward.
