Away from the main ITV Racing action, our accumulators and festivals tipster Karl Hedley has selected four runners for consideration in a Lucky 15 tips preview. A Lucky 15 bet involves 15 bets across four different selections. Your bets are 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator. Due to single bets being included, one winning selection is enough to trigger a payout to give you something of a lift.
All of today’s selections look to be in with decent chances and, with a bit of luck, they can find their way to the winners’ enclosure. So, read on for the best value Lucky 15 tips across the meetings from the UK and Ireland.

15:05 @ The Curragh – RUN FOR OSCAR (7/2)
Trainer: Charles Byrnes
Jockey: Seamie Heffernan
Run For Oscar was last seen running in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival back in March where he finished in the midfield behind eventual winner Langer Dan. Charles Byrnes switches him back to the flat here today and that proved to be a great success last season where he won a stayers handicap at Haydock before going on to land the Cesarewitch at Newmarket. He will be hoping there is plenty of pace on as he has won over trips much further than this. Quite a few of these are out of form or are as equally unproven at the trip. Run For Oscar may well relish a return to this sphere and he is taken to land this valuable prize.
16:15 @ The Curragh – CARRACCI (5/1)
Trainer: Aidan O’Brien
Jockey: Wayne Lordan
Carracci has plenty of experience over this trip and was a solid third in a Group 3 race when chasing home stablemate Hans Andersen at Leopardstown in heavy ground last time. He should come on for that run in no uncertain terms and he ought to find things a little easier now that he steps back in grade. Based on their previous meeting at Dundalk last November, he has the beating of stablemate Farnborough and can assert his dominance once more. He has first-time blinkers attached to help his mind focus on the job at hand and Wayne Lordan should enjoy a good run on him.
16:45 @ Haydock – PERSUASION (9/2)
Trainer: David Barron
Jockey: William Buick
David Barron and Will Buick team up with this six-year-old gelding. He remains potentially well handicapped following two sloid third-placed efforts at Newmarket already this season. His last run was in a stronger grade than this and the way he finished his race off suggested he could be about to strike at any given moment. He is proven over this course and distance as his last win actually came here in April 2021. It has been a long time between drinks, but there is a lot in his favour this evening including the re-association with his jockey. A big run can be expected.
16-50 @ The Curragh – SAFECRACKER (8/1)
Trainer: Johnny Murtagh
Jockey: Ben Coen
Safecracker ran a fair race on what was his seasonal reappearance at Tipperary just last month where he finished in the mid-division behind the impressive Burren Song. He is expected to strip much fitter this afternoon and the better ground will certainly be in his favour. He is proven at this trip and ran so well in similar handicaps to this last season including twice over this course and distance. Interesting that his customary tongue strap, which was left off last time, is back on today and given luck in running, he can make his presence felt.
