We’re now into May and have just 4 more game weekends until the conclusion of the Premier League, on Saturday, May 28th. As usual, I provide my best tips for the weekend and advise on a Premier League Accy. Last weekend’s accy came in at 10/1 so I’ll be looking to try and make that two-in-a-row this weekend.
Manchester City are 1pt top with a game-in-hand whilst 3 teams have 30pts at the bottom with 5 teams looking the most likely to share 3 spots. Here are my best accumulator tips for the weekend.

TOTTENHAM vs Crystal Palace (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I’m starting with Tottenham as my pick of the weekend. It seems like I’m going over the same reasonings each weekend but Tottenham have no issues at home this season and I think they’re priced up on their form as a whole as opposed to the form they show at home.
Tottenham have now dropped to 7th place in the league after Brighton beat Man United last night. They had a dodgy result against Bournemouth recently at home but apart from that, they have had a draw to Manchester United, beat Brighton, Forest, Man City, West Ham & Chelsea prior to that. It’s good going and I think it’s enough to see them get the 3pts against Palace.
Crystal Palace are now up to 11th in the table and you’d have to say that Hodgson has come in and done the job. They look all but safe with 40pts and 10pts clear of safety. They are on a good run of results with 4 wins from their last 6 and just 1 defeat. They’ve beaten the likes of Leeds and Southampton away from home recently but on the whole, I think the away form needs improvement for them to get anything here.

BOURNEMOUTH vs Chelsea (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I feel like there is nothing shown by Chelsea to suggest that a turnaround is on the cards and so with Bournemouth hitting decent form recently I think it’s worth just siding with them to beat Chelsea, too. Bournemouth are 5th in the form table right now in the last 4 matches with 3 wins and 1 defeat. Even going farther out to 8 games, they’ve won 5 and lost 3. That’s decent form for a team that’s where they are and were.
They’re now 13th in the league and looking like it’s going to be another year of Premiership football for them. The away form looks better than the home form for them right now with 0-2 and 0-4 defeats to both Brighton and West Ham but they’ve beaten Fulham and most recently Leeds at home. 4-1.
It feels like everybody is waiting for Chelsea to ignite back to some semi-decent form and the bookies obviously think that’s going to happen because once again they are favourites, away from home to a team performing much better than them. Chelsea now has 1 win in 8 away. They have failed to score 2 goals in a league match since March and if Bournemouth win this one, they’ll jump above them.

WOLVERHAMPTON vs Aston Villa (3 pm BST, Saturday)
This one could be a hard match to call. Aston Villa has been very solid recently, at home especially, and has won the last 4 home matches in a row and 6 from their last 8. Away from home isn’t so solid but they’ve still won 2 of their last 4. Those 2 wins were against Chelsea and Leicester whilst defeat came to Man United and a draw to Brentford in between.
Wolves have been strong at home and have 6 wins from their last 8 home encounters. They have a very solid home defensive record, conceding just 5 goals in their last 8. Whilst they haven’t played great teams in those 8 matches, they’ve defended very well. A win for Wolves would pretty much see them safe for another year, too. They got absolutely thrashed by Brighton in their last match 6-0 but ironically if you look at the last few home to away it’s a real contrast. 6-0 defeat away, 2-0 solid win over Palace at home. Lose away to struggling Leicester, prior to that solid wins over Chelsea and Brentford.
I think it’s worth siding with Wolves on this one.
