We’re coming to the back end of the Premier League season now and although most people thought it could potentially already be tied up, Arsenal still have a decent-looking chance of winning the title. A lot will go on how Manchester City handle their matches alongside a huge Champions League bid but if Arsenal do get the chance to strike, they must take advantage.
At the other end, it couldn’t be closer and with just 3 matches remaining for the majority, 3pts is the difference from 16th – 19th. Below, I give my best football accumulator tips for the weekend’s action and provide an accumulator. Let’s get started.
Crystal Palace, Fulham & Aston Villa treble @ 10/1 with Bet365
CRYSTAL PALACE vs Bournemouth (3 pm BST, Saturday)
My first selection is for Crystal Palace to beat Bournemouth at Selhurst. Both of these clubs are effectively safe now with just 3 matches remaining but it’s Palace who I think will take the 3pts. Crystal Palace have won 2 of their last 3 home matches and drew the other to Everton. They’ve had good draws against the likes of Brighton and Liverpool and gave a great account of themselves in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City, too.
Bournemouth have won the last 3 away matches in a row but they’ve beaten Southampton (20th), Leicester (18th) and an odd awful home performance from Tottenham. Bournemouth got results when they needed them to keep them up and I just wonder after the loss to Chelsea last weekend if the form drops, now.

Southampton vs FULHAM (3 pm BST, Saturday)
Whilst they’re not mathematically relegated, Southampton are as good as gone and they now face Fulham this weekend, at St Mary’s. Southampton gave a really good account for themselves last weekend against Nottingham Forest but once again it wasn’t enough as they ended up losing the game, 4-3. Southampton, oddly, have a couple of good draws against Arsenal and Tottenham over the last couple of months but in-between those results span a long winless spell which has caused their demise.
One win from their last 12 and against lowly Leicester City shows how they’re currently faring in this league. A real lack of firepower and a defence that ships far too many is not a good partnership.
Fulham, themselves, only have 1 win in their last 8 away from home. However, they’ve played Liverpool, Aston Villa and Brentford in that list and they’re all solid home teams. They beat Everton away from home and they have only conceded 9 goals in 8 away matches. Compared to Southampton’s 10 conceded in the last 4.

ASTON VILLA vs Tottenham (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I conclude this weekend’s treble with Aston Villa getting back to winning ways, against Tottenham, at Villa Park. This match is huge for European qualification. Tottenham currently sits in 6th position with 57pts, whilst Aston Villa are 8th with 54pts. There are also just 4 goals separating them, so Villa know if they can get a solid 2-0 win this weekend, they’re joint pts and goals with 2 matches remaining.
I say it every single weekend now, but Tottenham are a much better Home team, than Away. Just 1 win in 8 now for Tottenham, away. That kind of record is what you’d expect from a team in the bottom 6. Aston Villa were flying a month ago but have let things slip with back-to-back defeats. However, they’ve been solid at home and have a 100% record in their last 5 home matches. (1-0 Fulham, 3-0 Newcastle, 2-0 Forest, 3-0 Bournemouth, 1-0 Palace)
Those might not be great teams but to not concede in one of those and still go and win all five and for the large part, convincingly, I’m sold on Villa, at home.
