It’s Good Friday at the time of posting and with anticipation of another great week of football, I will try my best to pick out 4 selections in which we’ll see both teams scoring. We’ve seen goals galore recently in the Premier League so let’s hope the Easter Bunny brings us goals. Here are my weekend Premier League BTTS tips:

Tottenham vs Brighton – BTTS (YES) – 3pm BST, Saturday
I’ll start with Tottenham and Brighton. Spurs have scored 8 goals in their last 4 matches and won all 4 of those games. They’ve actually only conceded 1 goal in those 4 matches but Brighton are a team that always seem to score. They’ve only lost 1 of their last 8 away matches from home but, more importantly, they’ve scored 18 goals in their last 8 matches on the road. This is a team that has only failed to score once all season. It’s certainly enough for me to pick this match up.
Fulham vs West Ham – BTTS (YES) – 3pm BST, Saturday
This match is a hard one to choose when we are thinking about if both teams will score. Fulham are struggling and have lost their last 3 league games but even without Willian and Aleksandar Mitrovic in their match with Bournemouth, they still managed to score. I think West Ham have a real chance of getting the 3 points this weekend but their away form is horrid. Just 1 goal in their last 4 away matches, 3 defeats to nil, and a 1-1 draw. It’s easily the main reason that West Ham are a relegation candidate.
However, I just think that this match is so big for the Hammers that they will get something out of it. There’s been more talk of David Moyes getting the sack and this is yet another match billed as “win it or you’re gone”. I just think it’s enough motivation for the players either way and we’ll see potentially a 1-1 draw or 2-1 either way.
Brentford vs Newcastle – BTTS (YES) – 3pm BST, Saturday
My third choice is one that should be the most likely. Newcastle have just given West Ham a thrashing 5-1 away from home. Brentford come off the back of a 3-3 draw with Brighton. Both teams score for fun and both teams are in the top 10 of the Premier League. Brentford have only failed to score at home 14% of the time this season whilst Newcastle have 11 goals in their last 4 matches played.
Leeds vs Crystal Palace – BTTS (YES) – 2pm BST, Sunday
The final match will be played on Easter Sunday. It’s Leeds taking on Crystal Palace, who are now under the management of Roy Hodgson. Whilst we can look at stats for the Eagles, like them failing to score in half of their away matches this season, they are in the midst of what I think will be a bit of a purple patch. They beat Leicester in Roy’s first match and, despite one of those goals being an own goal from Leicester, Palace had 18 shots and a 2.32 xG compared to Leicester’s 0.57 xG.
I think we’ll see both teams score in this one. Leeds got a good win over Nottingham Forest and they’ve scored in every one of their last 4 matches. 9 goals to be exact. They fail to score in 34% of their home matches but they had over 60% possession in that Forest win with a 2.15 xG. We could see a real end-to-end match.
