After being let down by 1 again last weekend, I am on a quest to get a ‘BTTS’ accy won this weekend. Things are getting down to the ‘business end’ now of the season. Titles are being decided (or thrown away) whilst relegation safety positions are jostled for. Here are my weekend Premier League BTTS selections for the weekend.
Brighton vs Wolverhampton – BTTS (YES) – 3:00 pm BST, Saturday
I’ll start with Brighton against Wolves. Brighton often ends up in my BTTS accy because they are so free-scoring. They’ve had BTTS away from home 81% of the time. However, in this match, they’re at home and that figure drops to 36% at The Community Stadium. I don’t think that Brighton keeps a clean sheet here though. Wolves have scored away from home in 6 out of the last 8 and the 2 matches that they didn’t was against Man City & Liverpool.
Bournemouth vs Leeds – BTTS (YES) – 2:00 pm BST, Sunday
Next on the 4-fold is Bournemouth taking on Leeds United. I mentioned on the accy for the weekend that Bournemouth seems to be playing some good stuff recently, in spells. Leeds away from home has been involved in a BTTS encounter 62% of the time, this season. Bournemouth just 38% at home but that stat could be skewed in knowing that Leeds have only kept 1 clean sheet away this season.
Manchester United vs Aston Villa – BTTS (YES) – 2:00 pm BST, Sunday
Manchester United have been involved in BTTS 40% of the time at home this season. That’s largely going to be because they have kept the most clean sheets this season at home. With 9. However, Aston Villa has failed to score away from home just 4 times this season and has been involved in BTTS 50% of the time away from home. They’ve managed to score away from home in the last 10 matches in a row.

Leicester vs Everton – BTTS (YES) – 8:00 pm BST, Monday
The 4-fold is complete with Leicester taking on Everton. Everton had a great start under Dyche when he came in, but they’ve had some really poor results recently and they’ve been dragged back into the mire. They tend to struggle for goals away from home but Leicester have kept just 3 clean sheets at home this season.
Whilst the away form of Everton worries me on this bet, I feel like this match is such a big one for Everton that they’ll get a goal. After this match, Everton has Manchester City so it’s really a must-win.
