The highly-anticipated weekend action in the Premier League gives us another chance to delve into the exciting BTTS market as we look at the fixtures to try and work out where the goals will fly in. It’s an intriguing set of matches but I’ve come up with four games that I think should comprise my BTTS weekend accumulator tips this week. Read on to see my thoughts.
Arsenal vs Brentford – BTTS (YES) – 3pm GMT, Saturday
Both teams come into this game in good form. Arsenal have not lost once at home this season but they’ve also scored 25 goals in 9 home league matches. Brentford have scored 12 in 10 away matches. They do tend to score in most matches they play in having only not scored in 1 of their last 5 away matches. Arsenal to win 2-1 for me with both teams hitting the back of the net.
Crystal Palace vs Brighton – BTTS (YES) – 3pm GMT, Saturday
Palace take on Brighton in some seriously worrying form. They haven’t won a match in 2023 and are dropping down the league. Brighton are the opposite really and tend to be involved in BTTS games a lot. 12 out of 20 to be precise. Palace need to turn the corner and have a great chance at home here. The last two times these two sides have played have seen a 1-1 draw. 3 of the last 4 meetings have been a 1-1 draw and all four of the last four encounters have seen both teams scoring. I think we’ll see a similar kind of result with perhaps Brighton stealing the 3pts if Palace have those worries of another defeat.
Leicester vs Spurs – BTTS (YES) – 3pm GMT, Saturday
Leicester continue to score for fun in the Premier League. They’re by no means winning a whole bunch of games but they score in abundance. Leicester sit 2nd bottom of the table for “home form” and come into this match with just two home wins for the season. However, for a team that sits that lowly in form, they’ve scored more goals than games (11 in 10) and in all matches they’ve scored 33 goals this season. I expect Spurs to come through with the win in this match but I think both teams will score. Spurs should have no issue scoring here with 19 goals in 11 away from home and Leicester do tend to concede, especially from set-pieces.
Fulham vs Nottingham Forest – BTTS (YES) – 3pm GMT, Saturday
Fulham have scored 18 goals in 11 matches at home this season and that’s more than a lot of top teams in the Premier League. Such as Chelsea, for example. They do well at home and have won 5 in 11 this season with only 3 defeats. Nottingham Forest are 2nd bottom on the “away form” table this season and have only won once on their travels. I think Fulham win this match but they do also tend to concede at home. 16 goals let in during those 11 home matches. They haven’t kept a clean sheet at home since last October. Whilst Forest do not score a lot of goals away from home. In fact, only 3 goals scored this season on the road but I think Fulham will give them the chances.
