It’s all getting rather exciting in the Premier League right now. We have Arsenal doing their “Feb ritual” of letting other teams take over and now we have a new leader in Manchester City. Meanwhile, at the other end we have a very intriguing 4 teams all within 3pts of each other. I’ve had a look at the both teams to score market once again and I’m going to share with you what I’m backing with my BTTS weekend accumulator tips.
Aston Villa vs Arsenal – BTTS (YES) – 12:30pm, GMT, Saturday
We start with the lunchtime match between Aston Villa and Arsenal. Arsenal will be very keen to get back to winning ways after falling to 2nd in the table after their defeat at home, to Manchester City. I find it hard to believe that they wont score here. They’ve scored 20 goals away this season and sit top of the table on away form. Aston Villa have hit the BTTS on 64% of their home matches this season. They’ve scored 17 goals in 11 at home this season.
Chelsea vs Southampton – BTTS (NO) – 3pm, GMT, Saturday
We are going with the negative on this one for BTTS. Southampton are devoid of all confidence at the moment and sit bottom of the league, 3pts away from 19th placed Bournemouth. They’ve failed to score in 5 of their 11 away matches and lost 3-0 to Brentford in their last away game. Chelsea keep it very tight at Stamford Bridge and conceded just 5 in their last 8 matches and just 7 in 10 at home.
Brighton vs Fulham – BTTS (YES) – 3pm, GMT, Saturday
Brighton have been involved with 62% of BTTS matches this season. Fulham 61%. They are 1st and 2nd on that list for BTTS turn outs. Brighton are mid table in the “home form” this season and have scored 17 in 10. Fulham are 7th in the away and have scored 14 in 11. Everything screams BTTS in this one.
Everton vs Leeds – BTTS (YES) – 3pm, GMT, Saturday
We complete the four-fold with Everton taking on Leeds. I’ve said in the weekend accy that I think Everton will win this weekend but I also think that both teams should score in this match. Leeds have been involved in BTTS in 64% of their away fixtures this season and Everton are coming off of a 2-0 win to Arsenal as their last home encounter. I think we could see a BTTS win for Everton.
