It’s time for another BTTS accy for the Saturday football this coming weekend. February is coming to an end and we have some snow forecast for the coming month. It’s that horrible time of year, in England. At least we have football. Here are my BTTS weekend accumulator tips.
Everton vs Aston Villa – BTTS (YES) – 3pm, GMT, Saturday
We start with Everton taking on Aston Villa. Everton have won both their home matches with new manager Sean Dyche. They’ve beaten Arsenal 1-0 and took victory against Leeds by a 1-0 scoreline. Villa scored 2 against Arsenal away from home and tend to score goals. 75% of the last 8 matches for Villa have seen both teams scoring whilst 50% of the Toffees’ last 8 have also seen both teams score. Everton’s defence has improved but I think Villa will at least score on Saturday.
Leicester vs Arsenal – BTTS (YES) – 3pm, GMT, Saturday
Arsenal come into this game very much relieved to get the 3 points against Aston Villa. Villa led the game twice and Arsenal got back into twice, only to score a cracker to make it 3-2 right near the end of the match before going on to win 4-2. The point is that they’re back to winning ways and back at the top of the league thanks to a very poor result for Man City. I’ve said it before but Leicester do tend to score goals. They failed to score against Man United last week but in their last few home matches they’ve beaten Spurs 4-1 and drew 2-2 with Brighton. Arsenal lost away to Everton 1-0 most recently in early February but that’s the only time they’ve failed to score away from home in the top division of English football this season.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool – BTTS (YES) – 7.45pm, GMT, Saturday
Next up, I’m taking Crystal Palace and Liverpool to both hit the back of the net. This game is a rather unconventional time on a Saturday and a win for Liverpool would see them potentially move into the top 6 in the table. Other results dependent, of course. Despite that thrashing from Real Madrid in midweek in the Champions League, Liverpool are doing better recently. They have a Crystal Palace team that have scored 12 goals in 12 matches at home and have conceded 17 goals. Liverpool have scored 13 goals away and conceded 19 goals. BTTS happened in both home and away fixtures last season between these two sides.
Tottenham vs Chelsea – BTTS (YES) – 1.30pm, GMT, Sunday
We complete the 4-fold with Tottenham taking on Chelsea. This one is on the Sunday so hopefully by this time we have 3 in the bank. Spurs got back to winning ways with a pretty straight forward win over West Ham. They tend to score a lot at home and have 24 goals in 12 games. Chelsea have just 10 goals in 12 away matches but you’d have to think that it’s just a matter of time before Chelsea start scoring again. The lack of goals obviously correlates with their lack of a recognised striker. The loan signing of Joao Felix is a good one in my opinion though. This match is a huge one for both teams and although Spurs would be favourite right now, Chelsea have a good record against them. I think they’ll raise their game and get at least a goal in this one.
