We move onto the ‘both teams to score’ market in the MLS for our next accumulator. We’ve had some massive news for Inter Miami this week as Lionel Messi is set to join them. That will surely make BTTS bets all that easier to find, with the little magician likely to destroy the far inferior level of the MLS compared to the major European leagues. Atlanta United vs DC United – BTTS (YES) – 12:30 am BST, Sunday 11th June
The first selection is Atlanta United vs DC United. Atlanta has seen both teams scoring in 9 out of their last 11 MLS matches. That’s nearly 82%. When we think they are also playing at home, where they have seen both teams scoring in 6 out of the last 8 in MLS. That’s a success ratio of 75% for that outcome coming in.
Meanwhile, DC United also have seen both teams score in their last 3 matches in the MLS. In 4 of the last 5 away matches for DC United, we’ve seen both teams scoring. The head-to-head between the pair shows us that we’ve seen both teams scoring in 4 out of the last 5 at a percentage of 80%.
Toronto vs Nashville – BTTS (YES) – 12:30 am BST, Sunday 11th June
My second selection will be the match between Toronto and Nashville. This match looks like it will be a close one and I think Nashville have an outsider’s chance of winning it. However, more importantly, Nashville sees a lot of their matches end up “BTTS”. Nashville’s last 5 matches in a row have seen both teams to score and they’ve won 4 of those.
Toronto worry me with their goals as they’ve failed to score twice at home in the last 5 matches. However, the two times they’ve met at Toronto’s home stadium, we’ve seen Toronto score and in the previous five head-to-heads, we’ve seen BTTS in 4 of those. The most recent being 0-0 though.
Sporting Kansas vs Austin FC – BTTS (YES) – 1:30 am BST, Sunday 11th June
Sporting Kansas take on Austin and that’s my third selection in this BTTS accy. I give Austin a good chance in this match and that competitiveness should equal to at least goals at either end with Sporting at home.
Sporting Kansas have now won 3 matches in a row and 6 out of their last 10 at home. 50% of those matches saw Sporting score 2 or more goals. Whilst Austin have conceded 2 or more goals in 80% of their last 10 matches. We’re primed for goals here. Austin haven’t got a great scoring record away from home recently but if we look at the H2H meetings between the pair then we’ll see BTTS came in for 4 out of their last 5 encounters.
Houston Dynamo vs Los Angeles FC – BTTS (YES) – 1:30 am BST, Sunday 11th June
The penultimate selection is Houston taking on Los Angeles. Houston have scored 12 goals in their last 5 matches and only failed to score against the impressive St Louis City. Los Angeles haven’t been so clinical in their goalscoring and have failed to score in their last 2 matches. Away from home though, they’ve scored in their last five in a row and the head-to-head between these two also shows a strong BTTS chance.
We’ve seen both teams scoring in the head-to-head in the last 8 matches in-a-row. It certainly paints a strong picture of goals.
Real Salt Lake vs New York City – BTTS (YES) – 2:30 am BST, Sunday 11th June
The final selection is Real Salt Lake against New York City. Real Salt Lake have scored in their last 6 matches in a row and have scored 12 in that period winning four of those games. They have seen both teams score in 6 out of the last 9 matches.
New York City do not score a lot of goals but, in the MLS, they’ve scored away from home in 6 out of the last 10 games on the road. Real Salt Lake have won 3 out of the last 5 head-to-head matches. However, New York beat Real 6-0 in the last match between the two franchises. We’ve seen 2 out of the last 4 encounters with both teams scoring. However, we’ve 17 goals in the last 4 matches in this fixture. So, I’m happy to add this to the bet slip.
