Citizens Still On For The Treble
Manchester City still have hopes for a treble and after Arsenal threw away a 2-0 lead to Liverpool, you would have to say that it looks a lot more likely now. If they win this match then they’ll be just 3 points away from Arsenal and with a better goal difference. They’re also looking very likely to make the Champions League Semi Final after a 3-0 win over German Bundesliga I side Bayern Munich in midweek. The third prong of that treble is an FA Cup where they will face a semi-final against Championship club Sheffield United. It’s looking promising.
Nobody will be surprised to hear that City have won their last 4 in a row. They’ve scored 11 goals and conceded just 2 in those 4 matches. They have not lost at home since 12th November 2022, when they lost to Brentford, and they have an average goal total of 3.50 in the last 8 matches.

Leicester In Peril and Looking Down and Out
Leicester are now 2nd from bottom and 2 points ahead of bottom-placed Southampton. Ironically, they’re only 2 points away from 17th-placed Everton also. I thought Leicester would beat Bournemouth at home last weekend and they’d push themselves away from that relegation zone but they lost and I actually think they will go down now. They have not won a match in the Premier League since February and now have Manchester City. It’s surely after this fixture that the hard work starts.
Leicester have drawn 1 and lost 3 of the last 4 but away from home they’ve scored just 2 goals in the last 4 matches combined and conceded 7. The form has really taken a turn downward. They tend to throw in a random result here and there but this one would be a real shock if they won.
Head-to-Head
Pep Guardiola’s side have won the last three head-to-head encounters but if we look at the only one at the Etihad Stadium then we’ll see that City won it 6-3. They are likely to rest some players after the Champions League match and prior to the return leg. They also have an FA Cup Semi-Final next weekend to think about.
Manchester City vs Leicester Betting Tips
I think Manchester City should put on a bit of a show here. I do think they’ll rest a few players for this but they’ll want to win it and they’ll know they need to win it too. They know at this point that if they win every game left in the Premier League then they have the title. There is no value whatsoever in City on the handicap. You’re looking at -2.5 to get any kind of price. Instead, I will go with City to win to nil.
