Newcastle have now won 3 matches in a row and 8 from their last 9. They’ve scored 13 goals in their last 3 matches with wins of 3-1, 4-1 and 6-1. They really couldn’t be any happier in terms of preparation than what they have. The Magpies are in 3rd position in the table and have a game-in-hand over Arsenal. If they were to win this one then they’d be 10pts back with a game-in-hand. This means mathematically, they could still catch 2nd place. Although it’s very unlikely that Arsenal are going to capitulate to that degree.
It shows what a great season Newcastle are having and despite all the money that has been pumped into this club, you’d have to say that they’re yet to spend huge amounts. It just looks like a very happy club at the moment and if the form is to go by then they have every chance on Sunday.
Gunners Stuttering Along with No Room to Falter
Arsenal have hit a bit of a roadblock recently and after being in such a fantastic position at the top of the league, they drew 3 matches in a row before losing to Manchester City. The worst thing that could have happened. They’ve re-steadied the ship since and have gone and beat Chelsea but I just get the feeling that Arsenal are there for the taking right now.
Arsenal have won just once in their last 4 matches and have conceded 8 goals in those 4. It’s a stark contrast to the form prior to that. They score a lot of goals but without Saliba, Arsenal concede plenty.

The last time these two played it ended 0-0, back in January. That was at The Emirates whilst this one will be at St James Park. Newcastle won 2-0 the last time they played here. Which was May last year.
