It’s getting to the latter part of the Premier League season. We have Arsenal playing on Friday against Southampton. If they fail to win that one then perhaps we’ll get a clearer picture of who wins the title. With Man City firmly in the hot seat. I give my accy for the weekend’s action below. As usual, I’ll stick with 3 pm matches and so will have just the four matches to choose from.
CRYSTAL PALACE vs Everton (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I’m starting with Crystal Palace to continue the good form under Roy Hodgson. It’s also a bit of a lay on Everton, who managed to lose at home last week in a really poor result for them. Crystal Palace are now 3rd in the league form table. It shows you how much belief and attitude make a difference at this level because not a whole lot has changed from the Palace team that was so poor prior to Roy’s arrival.
They have 3 wins and 1 loss in their last 4. They’ve scored 10 goals in those 4 matches, too. Everton were going strong prior to last week. At least at home. They now see themselves back down there and only outside of the relegation zone on goal difference. They are bottom of the away form table and haven’t won away in their last 8. With 3 draws and 5 defeats.

Brentford vs ASTON VILLA (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I thought Newcastle would beat Aston Villa last week and they really showed how good that form is. I think we’ll see Villa carry that on here and get the 3pts over Brentford. Brentford have won just 1 match away from home now over the last 4 matches. The Brentford train could be slowing. Aston Villa has a really good record and that flows over to their away record too. Now at the top of the away form table with 6 wins from their last 8 and just 1 defeat.
Leicester vs WOLVES (3 pm BST, Saturday)
I finish with Wolves beating Leicester away from home. I just can’t back Leicester home or away at the moment. Just when I think they’re going to win a match, like against Bournemouth, they lose. They have lost their last 4 matches at home and won just 1 of their last 8 at home.
Wolves are hardly a force right now with just 2 wins from their last 8 away and this match could very well end up being a boring draw but I’ll take my chance on the Wolves win. Leicester having scored just 2 goals from their last 4 at home.
Crystal Palace, Aston Villa & Wolves treble 16/1 bet365
