Away from the main ITV Racing tips action, our accumulators and festivals tipster Karl Hedley has selected four runners for consideration in a Lucky 15 tips preview. A Lucky 15 bet involves 15 bets across four different selections. Your bets are 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator. Due to single bets being included, one winning selection is enough to trigger a payout to give you something of a lift.
All of today’s selections look to be in with decent chances and, with some luck, they can find their way to the winners’ enclosure. So, read on for the best value Lucky 15 horse racing tips across the meetings from the UK and Ireland.

14:15 @ Newmarket DANCING GODDESS (11/2)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby
Jockey: Will Buick
Dancing Goddess makes her handicap debut today and on her local track, she is very much one to be feared. Charlie Appleby and the Godolphin operation have seen a recent uptick in their strike rate suggesting that the yard is enjoying somewhat of a purple patch. The daughter of Dubawi won on her debut at Kempton last season and was a fine runner-up to Roaring Lion at the same venue when making her seasonal reappearance there back in April.
She was a disappointing favourite when sent to Ascot to make her turf debut in a Novices’ Stakes race. No surprise to see her bounce back here in company for the most part struggles to put two decent runs together. The improving Desert Voice rates as a big danger but the handicapper could well have her measure here.
14:42 @ Chester MACANUDO (11/2)
Trainer: Richard Hannon
Jockey: Jack Mitchell
Richard Hannon sends the improving Macanudo up for this five-furlong contest. The son of Invincible Spirit has made two pleasing runs already this season. He finished fourth on debut at Haydock over seven furlongs and then improved for the step back to six at Windsor last time. He has shown plenty of speed on both occasions and if getting away from the stalls and setting the fractions, this race could well be tailor-made for him.
Jack Mitchell replaces Kevin Stott in the saddle for the first time in what is only his second ride for the yard this season in this race from Chester racecourse. Some of their rivals here are starting to look a bit exposed but there should be more to come from this speedy sort.
15:17 @ Chester FIRST OF MAY (7/2)
Trainer: James Fanshawe
Jockey: Ali Rawlinson
First Of May has been progressing quietly for James Fanshawe. The three-year-old daughter of Mayson will relish every drop of rain that hits this track if breeding is anything to go by. She has picked up her two previous wins at Newcastle and Wolverhampton, but she ran well enough on debut at Leicester to suggest that turf will not be an issue. Daniel Muscutt is replaced in the saddle today by Ali Rawlinson in what is his first ride for the stable.
The young jockey has been riding plenty of winners for plenty of yards this season, so the filly will not be lacking assistance from her jockey. Some of their rivals seem to have lost their way a little so no surprise to see this combination progressing yet again here.
15:52 @ Chester BANDERAS (5/1)
Trainer: Michael Bell
Jockey: Hollie Doyle
Banderas was last seen shedding his maiden at this very track just a couple of months ago when beating Chronograph by a neck. The form of the race is beginning to work out as the runner-up has subsequently gone on to success by winning at Haydock and the third-placed King of The Plains has been unfortunate not to get off the mark having finished second on a further two occasions.
There should be plenty more to come from the son of Lope De Vega and Hollie Doyle takes the ride for the first time. First-time cheek-pieces have been applied to the three-year-old who is set to make his handicap debut here this afternoon. The softening of the ground shouldn’t be an issue and he is more than capable of making his presence felt.
