Away from the main ITV Racing tips action, our accumulators and festivals tipster Karl Hedley has selected four runners for consideration in a Lucky 15 tips preview. A Lucky 15 bet involves 15 bets across four different selections. Your bets are 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator. Due to single bets being included, one winning selection is enough to trigger a payout to give you something of a lift.
All of today’s selections look to be in with decent chances and, with a bit of luck, they can find their way to the winners’ enclosure. So, read on for the best value Lucky 15 tips across the meetings from the UK and Ireland.

13:35 Chester – JE NE SAIS QUOI @ 9/4
Trainer: William Haggas
Jockey: Ciaren Fallon
Got off the mark at the second attempt when winning at Thirsk a little under a fortnight ago. He managed to get himself into a bit of a tight spot at one point before Cieren Fallon was able to switch him outside of his rivals. They stayed on with purpose inside the final furlong and beat Midnight Lir by almost two lengths. Plenty of winners have come out from his debut appearance at Ascot races back in May suggesting that he could well be above average. Dawn Charger, Thanksbutnothanks and Crooked Crown have all come out to boost the form subsequently and he should be worth another go as he is likely to find even more improvement.
15:55 Chester – CAPONE @ 11/4
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis
Jockey: Ben Curtis
Capone ran a fair race on his comeback following more than a year away from the track on heavy ground at Goodwood racecourse. He built on that performance next time over this course and distance when moving onto better ground with the handicapper dropping him a further pound in the ratings. He is still a more than useful dual purpose performer and gets in here off the same mark. Not many of these are in great form and the form of Capone’s last race is beginning to work out as the winner and the runner up both scoring at Catterick and Goodwood respectively. This looks to be a fine opportunity for the Dominic Ffrench Davis runner to get off the mark for the season.
16:50 York – TIGER BEETLE @ 16/1
Trainer: Mark Rimmell
Jockey: Kieren O’Neill
Tiger Beetle only has one career win to his name and that came on the all-weather surface at Wolverhampton races just before Christmas. He has spent a bit of a spell in the wilderness but now is beginning to look well treated on the best of his previous form. He ought to appreciate this step back to a mile and he is partnered for the first time today by Kieren O’Neill. There have been signals from that previous race that it may actually be better than it first looked as two horses that finished in front of Tiger Beetle (C’Mon Kenny and Auld Toon Loon) have both come out and won separate races for Ian Williams and David O’Meara. Mark Rimmell is in a bit of better form now and off bottom weight here, Tiger Beetle looks to have everything in place for a big run.
17:00 @ Chester – TUDOR @ 4/1
Trainer: Kevin Phillipart De Foy
Jockey: John Egan
Tudor has been slowly but surely finding his way back to form this season and despite finishing runner-up to Prophets Dream at Leicester last time beaten only a neck, he finds himself in here off the exact same mark. The return to a mile-and-a-half looks sure to suit and regular pilot John Egan is back on board to try and gain a first ever win on turf despite two previous successes together on the all-weather surface a Lingfield. He hasn’t been in the care of Kevin Phillipart De Foy for very long and he has already won two races with him. There should be more to come from this consistent sort and another bold account should be made. They yard are in great form and John Egan has a near 36% strike rate when teaming up with this trainer. They look destined to go close.
