Away from the main ITV races, our accumulators and festivals tipster Karl Hedley has selected four runners for consideration in a Lucky 15 tips preview. A Lucky 15 bet involves 15 bets across four different selections. Your bets are 4 single bets, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 four-fold accumulator. Due to single bets being included, one winning selection is enough to trigger a payout to give you something of a lift.
All of today’s selections look to be in with decent chances and, with a bit of luck, they can find their way to the winners’ enclosure. So, read on for the best value Lucky 15 tips across the meetings from the UK and Ireland.

15:25 @ BANGOR – ZUCAYAN (7/2)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien
Jockey: Nick Slatter (5)
Zucayan is an improving six-year-old who has not been seen on the track since he finished third to Balzac at Ffos Las almost a year ago. He already has the beating of a couple of these including McPherson and Diamond Joel as he saw them off in a race over this trip at Ludlow last season. A return to handicapping looks very much in his favour and any continued drying out of the ground would be most welcome for him. Fergal O’Brien has his team in great form and Nick Slatter takes an invaluable five-pounds off his partners’ back here and the pair look set to go well.
16:55 @ NEWBURY – FIRST OFFICER (7/1)
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam
Jockey: Will Buick
First Officer has taken a few runs to find his feet this season, but his most recent effort at Doncaster hinted that he could possibly be on his way back. Back at ten furlongs should bring out the best in him and he has won with give in the ground in the past. Whilst he is still a little high looking in the handicap, he remains unexposed at this trip. He has been dropped a pound in the ratings by the handicapper since that last run and no surprise to see him take full advantage in what will be a first time ride for Will Buick.
17:45 @ BRIGHTON – BALLYBAYMOONSHINER (5/2)
Trainer: Murty McGrath
Jockey: Callum Hutchinson (3)
Ballybaymoonshiner has a good opportunity here to get off the mark on what is only his second start on turf. He has been a model of consistency this season and his last two efforts have seen him just touched off at Lingfield. Still very much unexposed on grass, Murty McGrath calls for the services of talented apprentice Callum Hutchinson. The young jockey is able to claim three-pounds from his mount and in sprints like this, those small details can make all the difference. Everything else in this race looks woefully out of form and are on retrieval missions. No surprise to find Ballybaymoonshiner too strong here.
20:00 @ NOTTINGHAM – OBAMA ARMY (4/1)
Trainer: Jack Channon
Jockey: Rose Dawes (5)
Obama Army looks to have a decent chance in the finale at Nottingham. The three-year-old by Washington DC gets in here off the same mark that he did when finishing fourth to Equiami at Southwell just last week. That was his first run in almost five months and he is fully entitled to improve for it. Rose Dawes is able to claims five-pounds from her partner as she takes the reins for the first time. Obama Army was only beaten a length in that most recent start indicating that he was in good form. If reproducing the run here, he should leave these rivals trailing in his wake.
